A direct son of Westholme outcross bulls Dai 6 Seizan, UKB Dia 6 Kitaseki pairs heritage through two influential Okayama strains, himomae through Mori 1 by Dai 14 Shimomae and Fujiyoshi through Dai 6 Fujimori by Dai 6 Fujiyoshi. Dai 6 Fujimori was the sire of Dai 14 Shigeru who produced Dai 7 Itozakura and Hirota. Considerable growth performance is attributed to these lines. Marbling performance is boosted in Dai 6 Seizanthrough additions of Kikunoridoi through Kanehagi. Through the dam, Kitasekihiro, we find a combination of old line Tottori genetics by Yuhou, a grand son of Housan: the sire of Kedaka, paired with genetics by Dai 7 Itozakura, Kedaka, and Itokitatsuru J1081, the sire of TF151 Itozurudoi. UKB Dia 6 Kitaseki 36M provides a valuable link to the Kedaka and Okayama lines associated to increased growth, maternal, and size. Direct sons of 36M have placed in the top 5 of the American Royal steak competition highlighting his direct arbling ability. UKB 36M also had a frame score of 7 placing him firmly in the top 1% of the breed. UKB Dia 6 Kitaseki 36M has a very limited supply of semen as he died at 7 years of age unexpectedly.
